Top 5 Nursing Bras

Choosing a bra for pregnancy and breastfeeding can be a trying experience. There are many choices, some great, others not so good and the decision is not an easy one to reach. Do you need to sleep in a bra? What type of opening should it have for nursing? And probably the biggest question is what size will you need? Here are some of my favorites in the bra selections available today.

1. Bravado! Nursing Bras and Tanks

These are, hands-down, the most comfortable, supportive and fashionable nursing bras around. From the back, they look like a sports bra, and from the front, it is simple to latch and unlatch. The perfect blend of cotton and spandex allows the bra to adjust to your daily fluctuations, without getting stretched out and baggy.

2. Leading Lady Underwire Bra

If you’re an underwire fan, this bra might be the one for you. It combines the traditional underwire with easy nursing access. It also features seamless cups for less irritation on sensitive parts.

3. Glamourmom Nursing Bra Shirts and Tanks

Fitting in to the “one-less-thing-to-think-about” category, Glamourmom products offer an all-in-one system. Completely stylish and supportive, these nursing bra tanks/shirts allow for complete postpartum tummy coverage and can be worn alone or with another shirt over it. The built-in soft cups are comfortable, and the clasps are very easy to undo.

4. Expectant Moments Bra

This bra is my absolute favorite. It’s soft, supportive and very comfortable. The nursing access is an easy-to-use, one-handed clasp of plastic that is still going strong after years of use. I particularly like the underbraiding to add support without having to use an underwire.

5. Medela Nursing Bras

Comfortable and breathable, Medela nursing bras are the tried-and-true. The fabric stretches well and gives decent support. They also accommodate every breast size imaginable, so no Mom should feel unsupported on that end
